Meeting
Our meeting point is at Obala Stjepana Radića 40, next to the Mlinar bakery (in Gruž harbour, not in the Old town). Your guide will be wearing an Outdoor Croatia T-shirt and will give you short instructions for the ferry as well as give you the ferry tickets.
Lopud Island
Lopud island
After arriving at Lopud (2nd island), we will go to our base where you’ll get geared up. During a safety briefing, your tour leader will provide kayaking instructions and explain the equipment, so you can have the best experience. Once ready, we set off across the channel for the island of Šipan.
From Paddles to Pedals
From Paddles to Pedals
Crossing the channel to Šipan island, we arrive at its first village of Suđurađ. Here, you will swap your paddles for pedals and hop on to the bikes. After a brief safety talk about bikes, it’s time to continue the journey to the opposite side of the island cycling through vineyards, picturesque olive groves, and charming countryside.
Lunch break
Lunch break
Following the road, we arrive at the delightful fishing village of Luka Šipanska on the island of Šipan. Here we will take a well-deserved break for lunch in one of the restaurants that provide fresh local delicacies. Enjoy the fresh fish caught the very same day with homemade olive oil in a perfect ambiance.
Beach time
Beach time
After our tasty lunch, it’s time for relaxation. A short bike ride leads us to the gorgeous beach of Priježba where you can bask in the sun, take a refreshing swim, and sip on a beverage. Once refreshed, we hop back onto the bikes and return to Suđurađ to our kayaks, for the last part of the tour.
Return
Return
As we paddle back towards the base, we will paddle in front of a picturesque 15th-century monastery and arrive back at Lopud. Here, we’ll get the kayaks and gear back in and you’ll be given your return ferry tickets. Once we are finished, you can go for a walk, swim, or simply enjoy a drink on the promenade.

F.A.Q.
1. How hard is this tour?
We graded it 3 out of 4 because there are two sports included in the tour. It’s not a long bike ride, but it can be steep on two occasions and usually, the heat is the only factor that makes it hard(er).
We believe anybody who can walk or bike for 1 hour on the flat terrain can also do this tour, provided they have a can-do attitude.
2. What’s the temperature like?
In the pre and post-season, temperatures are perfect for kayaking.
During high season, the temperature can easily exceed 30 C(85 F), so be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat.
Water breaks and swimming will cool you off if it gets too hot.
3. What about lunch or meals?
The tour stops around halfway through for a delicious lunch break. We work with several local restaurants, making sure the offer is always fresh and you get the most authentic experience. They are mostly seafood and fish restaurants, but have meat on offer, as well as a couple of vegetarian/vegan options. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic.
4. Can I do this by myself? Do I need to book with you?
You can, and we are sure you’d have fun doing it.
But, if you would like to take your mind off things and not worry about researching the route, finding the trail, making sure you stay on it, and more importantly meeting fun and like-minded people, then we are a great option.
5. What if something happens, will I be safe?
Yes. Area we will be kayaking at is very near Dubrovnik which has all the medical facilities necessary to deal with any injuries and other issues. The islands have their own ambulance and a doctor. While we are at the sea, the coast guard is on speed dial, in case of emergency. And finally, our tour leaders always carry a first aid kit and are trained to use it.
