Over the course of a week on the Best of Croatia Tour, guests will enjoy Croatia through more activities than many people undertake here in a lifetime. We will take you to epic spots for sea kayaking, canoeing, trekking, hiking, biking, and boating, and also show you three National parks and Croatia’s biggest natural lake. We’ll make it so that it remains an unforgettable active holiday in Croatia for you and your family.
If you have your own idea of what you’d like to explore while in Croatia just let us know, we are flexible and willing to work personally with each client and with their individual needs. For reference you can look at our Custom Tours section.
First and foremost, we will do everything in our power to make your holiday in Croatia as enjoyable and as carefree as possible. The job of planning, being aware of sea conditions, and ensuring safety is ours and we take them very seriously. All guides speak fluent English and can read both sea and mountain conditions very well.
Our tours are built for every experience level in mind. Having said that, there are tours that are better suited to beginners and others that lend themselves to paddlers with at least some experience. These are clearly marked on our itineraries but, please, never hesitate to ask any question about whether a certain trip is right for you.
We have been working with many of our lodging partners for years. Our quality requirements for our guests are similar to the requirements we have when we travel. That in mind, guests can expect the private accommodations booked during longer tours to be absolutely safe and secure, reasonably priced, cozy, filled with character, and very clean. Rooms are typically doubles (unless stated otherwise) and have private bathrooms.
It won’t take long for you to become a fan of Croatian cuisine. Food here is fresh and the ingredients are incredible. Red and white wines — right from the regions we’ll pass in our kayaks — are plentiful. Like our relationships with our lodging partners, we have worked with several restaurants and beach bars for years. They understand our demand for both great food and great service. When you book with us, you can expect the same. On our multi- day tours all meals are usually included – you can expect hearty breakfasts, delicious picnic or restaurant one course lunches and memorable 3 courses dinners – traditionally cooked.
We keep group sizes even smaller for longer tours. The reason is simple: we want to get the most out of the experience for everyone involved. When we are together for several days, our group becomes like a tribe. We eat together, plan together, and enjoy beautiful paddling together. Please read up on the different options and, again, don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions about the fitness or experience level required for the tours.
Outdoor Croatia really prides itself at being very knowledgeable about Croatia and its hidden beauties. At the same time, we are flexible and willing to work personally with each client and with their individual needs. For instance, we know not all guests are interested in set itineraries. If a client would like to create a trip which includes multiple cities, parks, and activities, it is literally our job to make sure you are as happy as possible.
We can have you hiking in northern parts of Croatia, climbing in our beautiful national parks, sightseeing in Zagreb, AND kayaking in hidden spots near Dubrovnik. Your wish is our pleasure.
You tell us what you fancy and will make the best possible program for you.
We offer free tour customization for groups of six or more. Simply contact us with the dates your group wants to take its tour and we will work with you to create the perfect expedition from one of — or a combination of — our many adventure activities or kayak-excursion possibilities.
For adventurers who love to be on the move, see many different places, and stay active in each, it is hard to beat this package.
Over the course of a week on the Best of Croatia Tour, guests will enjoy Croatia through more activities than many people undertake here in a lifetime. We will take you to epic spots for sea kayaking, rafting, trekking, biking, and boating, but we’ll also show you three national parks and Croatia’s biggest natural lake — Krka, Kornati, Paklenica, and Vransko Lake — and an itinerary full of Dalmatian cities: Dubrovnik, Lopud, Omis, Split, Trogir, Zadar, Starigrad Paklenica, Sibenik, and Ston.
Like the title implies, it is a cycling tour, but unlike any you’ve ever experienced. We’ll pedal, enjoy great food and wine, visit ancient sites, and relax on one of the country’s most beautiful beaches.
You can’t spend every day on the sea. Okay, you can, but a rafting trip on the Cetina River is a different kind of adrenaline adventure and a great way to see a different and beautiful part of the country.
Leaving from Dubrovnik, we’ll take the Dalmatian Highway along the cliffs overlooking the Adriatic to Omiš and the mouth of the river. After a discussion about the history of the Cetina and its historical importance — including its famous pirates who resisted the Venetian Empire — we’ll head down the rapids. Outdoor Croatia partners with the best skippers, who not only navigate the rushing water with great dexterity but with style — telling stories around every bend. After a two-hour trip, we’ll take lunch and relax at a nearby farm before heading back to Dubrovnik. Rafting on the Cetina is a fun and safe experience for everyone, including families with children, because the river is demanding only in spring and late fall due to higher water levels.
