New year brings new things! Last year we’ve created and tested new week-long sea kayak tour starting in Korcula and finishing in Dubrovnik. For a long time we wanted to do this, but in order to paddle more than 130 km between these two beautiful and iconic towns in southern Dalmatia in six days, you need to average about 25km per day. Even though we felt that’s not really that difficult, we needed a “guinea pig” to see if our customers could really handle it, or if we were just too strong for our own good. And lady luck was really kind to us to provide a perfect group for this little experiment. It was a group of 6 women in their 30s, physically fit, but without much sea-kayaking experience. The result of the experiment was a resounding success! Our head guide Johnny steered them safely and without many problems from ancient Greek Colony Korcula down by wine fields of Dingac on Peljesac peninsula and across to Mljet island. Mljet was an old Roman colony in the past, and is one of nine Croatia’s National parks today. Interesting bit about Mljet is a legend about Greek hero Oddysseus who supposedly had a shipwreck near it and spend 5 years stranded in a cave. After Mljet our journey takes us to one of the best archipelago for sea kayaking in Croatia – Elaphite islands. Out of 13 islands, only three are inhabited and tour will take you to all thee of them – Sipan, Lopud and Kolocep. Odyssey ends in UNESCO protected Old Town of Dubrovnik with a beautiful paddle under its impressive stone walls and final celebratory dinner inside them.

This year we will be running this tour only once – September 2-9, so make sure to grab your spots in time! Here are few photos what you can expect and a trip advisor review from last year’s trip:
WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT THIS TOUR
“We were a group of 6 women on this wonderful adventure. Everyone in the group was pretty fit so our group leader had asked for a customized expedition type adventure…Outdoor Croatia did not disappoint! We did over 125km in 5 days of kayaking, with some island hopping, and a little mountain biking in Mljet National Park…an amazing experience overall! Our guide Johnny was fabulous, extremely knowledgeable not only about kayaking, but also about the history of his country, politics, AND he knew the best restaurants to take us to, we had the most amazing food (lots of great food!!!). I feel my kayaking skills improved tremendously, while getting to know a beautiful country and its history. Thank you so much Johnny for everything you did for us…this is definitely an adventure I will always remember!!!”
